Copied from WCAEC website?
editIt seems like a lot of this article is copied from the campaign's website at http://antieviction.org.za/about-us/ which poses two problems: the copyright violation, and the probable non-neutrality. I don't want to remove the text, because it will leave basically no article, but it would be good if someone familiar with the topic can rewrite the article to be not-a-copyright-violation and NPOV. - htonl (talk) 14:14, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- The website is 'Copy Left' meaning copying the material for non-profit based distribution is encouraged. However, it should be edited and improved so as to use more sources than that website. That much is definitely necessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaredsacks (talk • contribs) 11:42, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Can you point out where on the website the copyright license is? I couldn't find it. Also, it can't just be generally copyleft; it has to be either released to the public domain, or under the GFDL. See Wikipedia:Copyrights. Even if we are allowed to copy the text, I think generally as a matter of principle we shouldn't just use an organisation's own text to describe that organisation; it's not likely to meet WP:NPOV. - htonl (talk) 17:25, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Will find out about what copyright it is officially...though i know its not a strict one. And agreed that generally shouldnt copy. Want to edit it?Jaredsacks —Preceding undated comment was added at 09:52, 2 November 2008 (UTC).
- Update: Copyright is Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaredsacks (talk • contribs) 11:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Copyright issues are addressed, but just reading the first couple paragraphs, it's obviously very biased. SHould be changed to neutral.
Reworking Article
editI have begun the arduous task of fixing this article which was made mostly without citations. For the next few days, when editing, please do not remove information for lack of citations as I am in the process of these citations. If afterwards no citations are found, you or I can remove them.
If anyone wants help improving this article, that would be much appreciated. Frombelow (talk) 11:11, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Tried to find citations, apart from the organisation's own website, for the claims under 'Co-ordinators' and 'Activities'. Could not find any either. What now? BlandBaroque (talk) 18:45, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry Frombelow, the more I look at parts of this article, the more problems. The stuff from the Campaign's own website must obviously go. What do you think? BlandBaroque (talk) 15:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- So I've taken out the stuff from the organisation's own website. IMO it reads much better now and is more convincing without the soapbox tone. Thee are still many citation and NPOV issues with this article though. If I have time< i'll try improve some more.BlandBaroque (talk) 04:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Academic References
editShould a wikipedia article contain a list of academic references that are not cited in the article? My impression is that it should not. But if it should this needs to be fixed because:
1. These references are not all academic texts. 2. The academic best known for writing on the WCAEC (Legassick) is not listed here!
