GA Review
editThe article reads a bit like an advertisement, but it's prose is well-written enough. I do have a few issues though. The lead needs to be expanded a bit (maybe another sentence or two - you could mention that it will be an Olympic venue); some more history would be nice; and I'm not entirely sure if the quote from Gordon Brown is needed. It doesn't seem to add a lot other than that it is a nice place, and it doesn't really seem to fit in in an encyclopedia. -- Scorpion0422 01:44, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- I've expanded the lead, added more historical detail, and removed the Brown quotes, and also altered the prose in areas to make it less advert-like. Thanks for the suggestions =) Rossenglish (talk) 13:19, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'll have a good pick at the text and try to find out more info. If you notice anything else that needs improving I'll add it to the list! Rossenglish (talk) 13:22, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Looking good, one small thing: "The Sailing Academy is around 190 kilometres (120 mi) from the Olympic Zone in central London." that could use a citation. Otherwise, I am satisfied. -- Scorpion0422 21:28, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hehe, that was one thing that I was looking for. Often other useful info turns up first though! Will add a ref as soon as I find one. Rossenglish (talk) 23:25, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- The only thing I can find is this. Do you reckon it is acceptable? Rossenglish (talk) 23:36, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Looks okay to me. -- Scorpion0422 00:33, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
