Whey Protein product: Whey Protein Powder

edit

I think whey protein is relatively an academic or professional words for a reader to understand. I think a good way to link the reader to whey protein is by mentioning one of the products that are made from whey protein, whey protein powder, which people can see on the markets. So, I think there should be a subsection of whey protein powder on the main page of whey protein. Also, there can be mentioning a little detail about protein powder such as the use of it, its benefit, and its potential side-effect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobbyybbob (talkcontribs) 21:30, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Well, the lead section of the article already mentions this, but the body of the article didn't. I added a couple of sentences about it to the "Major forms and use" section. We already have a section on health effects, so nothing else needs to be added. We should absolutely avoid singling out specific products or brands. ~Anachronist (talk) 01:18, 9 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Leucine aids in MPS when consumed with whey protein

edit

I am thinking about adding a section pertaining to the increased digestion of leucine combined with whey protein and how it increases muscle protein synthesis. I recently learned this in my nutrition class at university, but I am open to comments on the topic. If anyone has studies showing otherwise please let me know, otherwise I am going to continue with this edit. Skol1214 (talk) 23:51, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Currently, first paragraph ends with "For muscle growth, whey protein has been shown to be slightly better COMPARED TO other types of protein, such as casein or soy"... Should read, "For muscle growth, whey protein has been shown to be slightly better THAN other types of protein, such as casein or soy". 74.73.128.43 (talk) 16:21, 12 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
