Contested deletion

edit

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because the content provided is factual and accurately reflects the (undoubtedly reliable) sources provided. Every sentence is cited by a reliable source. If sources overwhelmingly cover what a company offers, this should be reflected in the article, as this is what makes it notable according to these sources. As the article is short, a possible re-write of some passages to present a more neutral point of view would be tenuous and does not require deleting the article. Another argument against deleting is the subject's clear notability, supported by in-depth coverage of the subject by independent reliable sources provided.

Wikipedia's advert tag claims that articles are promotional if, for example, "they may tell users to buy the company's product, provide price lists, give links to online sellers, or use unencyclopedic or meaningless buzzwords." None of these criteria apply to the article in its current form. --Throast (talk) 18:33, 26 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Agree & Keep: While it may be serving a somewhat promotional purpose, the article is definitely not "blatantly promotional" in either word choice, with at least some secondary sources supporting statements within. Ragmuffin-AGASTOPIA (talk) 14:03, 27 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
I want to emphasize that every single sentence is sourced, many by what Wikipedia deems safely reliable sources. Creating a Wikipedia article for any company can seem promotional at first glance but by comparing its content with the sources provided, it should become clear that it is not. If you judge my edits, I believe the takeaway is that I edit in good faith. I have no incentive whatsoever to promote this company. I just so happened to stumble over some sources covering it and wondered whether there was a Wikipedia page. There was not so I created one after checking WP:GNG. Sustainability

edit

In a landmark first for any Antarctic operator, in February 2023, White Desert trialled the first test quantity of 40,000 litres of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Antarctica. The aim is to replace all Jet A-1 fuel used on the continent over the next 3 years with SAF (in line with the Pledge to UK Net Zero target and Paris Agreement).
