editThis series have been recently released on DVD, after so much wait. Does it matter to be put into the article? Thanks--Nauki (talk) 11:39, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Links to expand the Reviews section
editSomeone deleted several sections describing this book here, replacing those with a Reception section with one negative review by James Wood. There is so much more written about this book and the author. Perhaps those sections are good enough to rescue, with links to reliable sources added.
The Reception section was started, but with one negative review only. Here is a list of links with reviews of this novel, so some editor who has read this novel can expand the Reviews section. This list does not include all that has been written about this novel or the author, nor include any books about her writing. It is just a start.
- links to reviews at time of publication for one who knows this author to expand this article Kirkus Reviews Publishsers Weekly London Review of Books New York Review of Books The Guardian New York Times Review
- link to more recent reviews Bookbag review in 2011 Hackwriters Review from 2007 The Nation in 2018, this month
- and two undated review The New Canon Cambridge Authors
- This article needs expansion and there is plenty on which to base the expansion. I think Salman Rushdie was the first to write a positive review, and I did not find that one yet. --Prairieplant (talk) 04:28, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
The lengthy quotations from Wood's article are highly out of place, since very little of them refers specifically to White Teeth, and are more about 'hysterical realism' in general. It's a very good article and the back half of it deals very closely with White Teeth, I'm sure there are far more relevant quotes to find from it, and those two massive block quotes should be got rid of.
