White cake cream?

edit

Hey, Mohmad Abdul sahib, you added this with no source. Where is the source for white cake being known as white cake cream? Valereee (talk) 15:44, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Valereee, Thank you for referring me. I did not know that the English Wikipedia relies on sources to document titles. This is the only source I can give you[1]. Mohmad Abdul sahib talk☎ talk 16:29, 2 September 2024 (UTC) Mohmad Abdul sahib talk☎ talk 16:29, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Mohmad Abdul sahib, we pretty much rely on sources for everything, certainly 'another name of this food is' statements. Otherwise people could (and do) come in and say things like, "Where I live we call this (whatever)."
So, this book is published by Amazon digital, which means it may be self-published. And does it seem to be a translation? Is 'white cake cream' a translation? The author's name is Sherri Walker, which is a very typical name for an English speaker, but she's written a book in Arabic? Or it's been translated to Arabic? I'm not finding this title on Amazon, Google, or Worldcat. Valereee (talk) 16:41, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Valereee. Unfortunately this is all I have available. I wanted to know whether you speak Arabic, because I did not understand some of the intentions of your words.
If the source is insufficient, I will delete it. Although I know that the English Wikipedia does not rely on sources to document titles. You can verify that the address is correct by viewing Google images, that's all I can give you. Mohmad Abdul sahib talk☎ talk 17:13, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, I don't speak Arabic. I'm not sure what you mean by "the English Wikipedia does not rely on sources to document titles". Do you mean titles of articles? We do rely on sources for that. We use WP:COMMONNAME for page titles.
What makes you believe white cake is also called white cake cream? Valereee (talk) 17:43, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Valereee
— I was meant the additional names or titles within the article.
— Because white cream will be used, and the previous source and Google search will be enough to tell you that.
— I hope everyone is like you, who respects edits others. Mohmad Abdul sahib talk☎ talk 18:15, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Mohmad Abdul sahib, I hope everyone respects others too. :)
No, the additional name of an item needs to be some sort of common name, and the fact there's an unfindable book about cake baking that has this title isn't enough to support the idea this is another name for this dish.
That google images search on "white cake cream" is pulling up all those images of white cakes because they have cream cheese or buttercream frosting or include sour cream or cream in the ingredients or include in the instructions "cream butter and sugar together". It's not proof "white cake cream" is a term for this cake. Here's the same search for 'white cake chocolate'. Which is not proof 'white cake chocolate' is another name for this dish. We're going to need something more. Valereee (talk) 11:52, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Valereee. Thank you, but I deleted the name early in the morning. After waking up, my brain restarted, which made me realize that I was in trouble. Thanks again, I'm glad to talk to nice people like you. Mohmad Abdul sahib talk☎ talk 12:13, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
And to you! Valereee (talk) 12:50, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
