There should also be a discourse on the Texas Hot, which has nothing to do with Texas. Busjack 02:53, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I see no reason for both words in the title to be capitalized. The article should be at White hot, just like Hot dog. Powers T 13:54, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense. I moved it. Kingturtle (talk) 14:21, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

White Hots (aka Coneys) are not exclusive to Rochester, NY or any specific city in Upstate NY. In fact, they are usually produced at Hoffman's Sausage Company which is based in Syracuse and distributed throughout the region and as far as Vermont and Easter Mass. I would request that Rochester be dropped from the initial description and leave in 'Greater Upstate New York' instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregdemetrick (talkcontribs) 14:55, 24 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Some Additional Sources

edit
  • Jane & Michael Stern's Coast-to-Coast Cookbook (ISBN 0394539532, published 10/12/1986) suggests ordering white hots from "Zab's Backyard Hots, Inc" on 1504 Scottsville Rd, Rochester, NY.
    • Was owned by Donad Zabkar per sources, born 1954 or 1955.
    • Trademark registration is up and this business almost certainly is closed (never saw it during my time in Rochester).
  • This page quotes many newspaper sources regarding the origins of white hots: [1].

Don't have time to incorporate any of this into the article right now, but welcome anyone with time to spare to do so — Tvh2k (talk) 02:28, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
