Polaron, if u r watching here, could you possibly create one of your maps using the available UTM coordinates? It would help this article to have at least an external link to a map. There is no map in the NRHP docs for this one. Thanks for considering, either way. --doncram (talk) 16:55, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that's great! I added to its file description to give the NRHP document source including authors (i think it should be named, as it is the original source for coordinates that are also given in NRIS database) and to convey that it is an approximation of the district outline. Please revise my addition there if I didn't state it correctly. The map is a very good addition to the article, thanks! --doncram (talk) 19:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually, could u clarify? I notice 18 UTM coords given, but i count 24 vertices in the map's outline of the district. --doncram (talk) 19:39, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
The map is primarily based on GIS data from City of New Haven although I did straighten out some irregular back property lines for simplicity. --Polaron | Talk19:42, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, but I don't quite understand. Isn't it first and foremost based on the UTM coords that you get from NRIS? That would show you the approximate area. Then further, you make refinement based on some GIS data from New Haven (and do you mean the Eagle Rock neighborhood map, or what other GIS data do u mean)? Please say whether New Haven provides a map of the district or not. I am assuming u mean you get the NRIS coords, plus read the NRHP doc somewhat to understand the properties included, but that is not what you've said yet, so i am not sure. --doncram (talk) 19:49, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, this is coming along fine. I have at least one pic that i could upload, and there are HABS pics for the 321 Whitney Avenue property. I wonder if there are other pics available. Then do let's develop this and put it up for DYK. With map, pics, and development (not finished), it will be worth getting wider attention to this one. I'll keep an eye out for a possible dyk hook; suggestions welcome. --doncram (talk) 19:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
