Hello, everyone! I will be the GA reviewer for this article. This is my first GA review, so I ask for patience as I take a careful look at this article.--Edge3 (talk) 16:41, 3 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Grammar fixes were made. Please check them to make sure that the original meaning behind the statements were preserved.
I looked through them; they all look pretty good. --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:11, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • In History section, please add wikilinks to Granite Ridge High School and Liberty High School. Make sure that the links go to the correct articles.
Are you sure I should do this? These were proposed names for the school that were discarded shortly after the city and district settled on the name "Whitney." --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:03, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about that! I thought for a while that they were existing schools. You don't have to do this. --Edge3 (talk) 02:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Please add more information on the construction of the buildings. When did construction end? When was the theater completed?
I couldn't find much info on the facilities themselves. I've been searching local newspaper articles. Do you think that there's another way I should go about this? --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Take a look at ref 10 (Minugh): "theater is finished in January." It also mentions that the facilities cost $81 million. Other than that, I couldn't find anything else.--Edge3 (talk) 14:59, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
It'd be nice if they made it easier on us and posted all this online in clear print. :P --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Add more info on the facilities, such as gyms, libraries, cafeterias, labs, etc.
Ditto from the above comment. --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Minugh should help here as well: "outdoor ampitheater...circular gathering areas, perfect for lunching or outdoor teaching; a modern construction technology unit; classrooms that branch off central work spaces for teachers; a student-friendly campus layout; and impeccable sports fields"--Edge3 (talk) 14:59, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh, snap! Sorry I missed this... --Starstriker7(Talk) 07:53, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Alright, both this and the previous are now mentioned in the article. Thanks for catching that. --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • In the Academics section, wikilink Department of Education, mathematics, Culinary Arts, Essential Skills and Concepts, and English. Make sure that the links go to the correct articles.
Done. The only thing I had to redlink was Essential Skills and Concepts because there is no article on the topic. It looks like all the easy stuff is over with. :) --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:23, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • In the Extracurricular activities section, merge Associated Student Body into Clubs and publications.
Done. --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:06, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't able to find anything off the bat, partly due to the fact that the school was founded so recently. I'll search again, but I will not be able to guarantee anything. --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:00, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
I can help you with this. I'll take a look at my library databases tomorrow. --Edge3 (talk) 02:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Were you able to find anything? --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, don't worry about it. I don't think it violates the "broad in coverage" criterion in WP:GACR--Edge3 (talk) 14:59, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay.
Hopefully the school or district will be able to make something of the info gathered in the 2010 Census. :] --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:18, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • As I did some research on this school, I found an article regarding a rejected proposal to begin a charter school called Rocklin Academy. The school was supposed to use some facilities at Whitney High School or Rocklin High School. I think that this proposal is relevant enough to be included in the article. --Edge3 (talk) 15:52, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Done. It seemed more like something that should be on the Rocklin Unified School District article, so I added info to that article on the topic as well, alongside a few sentences on the Whitney article. --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hey, Edge. Thanks for picking up the article to review, and I hope it will serve as a good acquaintance to the system. :]
You aren't doing too bad a review, although in the beginning I found it nice to contact one of the good article nomination mentors for advice.
I hope you don't mind the extra time it may take me to work on improving this article; I'm on vacation and am out of the country at the moment, although I will do my best to fulfill the requisites you set forth. --Starstriker7(Talk) 02:30, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
You've taken a look at my messages, haven't you??? :) Don't worry about the time; I'm hoping to live over the next 80 years, so you now have all the time you need. You're on vacation, so I don't expect you to fix up the article this week. --Edge3 (talk) 02:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
My mentor liked what shehe saw here (you can take a look at my talk page if you want), so keep up the good work!--Edge3 (talk)< —Preceding undated comment added 14:19, 5 August 2009 (UTC).Reply

This is a very nice article, but I think a lot more information could be added. I wouldn't expect the article to be huge, but compare it to some of the high schools at WP:GA#Educational institutions. I know there's a lot more info about a high school out there. Reywas92Talk 00:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I suppose it is possible, but many of the subjects covered in the other school articles seem to be natural results of their age. Whitney is such a new school, there really isn't much on it yet, especially on subjects like demographics and extracurricular activities outside athletics. --Starstriker7(Talk) 08:18, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Actually, the source you used for the logo ([1]) has a lot of info on student demographics.--Edge3 (talk) 14:52, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
D'oh! I don't know what made me so lethargic when I was patching up this article. Sorry about this. --Starstriker7(Talk) 22:11, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

"...the school's first two proposed names were associated too closely with rival schools." What aré they?--Edge3 (talk) 01:03, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Done. --Starstriker7(Talk) 01:22, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well...my review has been exhaustive enough. I'm ready to pass. I really liked all of the work you put into this article. --Edge3 (talk) 02:46, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
