I know the active substance of Nulytely is polyethylene glycol-- but since the solution's isotone properties would be considered off-topic for that article and that would be important, I nominate to merge that into here. Another alternative is Laxative#Hyperosmotic agents.

- I think the merge is probably a good idea. I added a paragraph to the laxative article about the solutions used for whole bowel irrigation. This article itself has some problems that need to be addressed. It makes it sound as though whole bowel irrigation is a medical procedure that is always done in a hospital or doctor's office, when in fact it is often done at home when used as prep for colonoscopy or surgery. It should also be mentioned somewhere that WBI is not the only way to prep the bowel for such procedures. And more info about the physical and chemical properties of the solutions and how they work is needed. I will try to improve this article as much as I can, but I can always use help. - The problem is: merge into here or Laxative?--Samuel CurtisShinichian-Hirokian-- TALK·CONTRIBS 15:39, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- I would merge it into here, probably a good idea to create redirects for the other tradenames as well. Mr Bungle 16:30, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- As redirects is concerned, I found that Golytely, Miralax and Colyte, etc, are currently being redirected to polyethylene glycol.--Samuel CurtisShinichian-Hirokian-- TALK·CONTRIBS 16:46, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Would it make sense for Nulytely to be merged/redirect to polyethylene glycol as well then? I guess this page is more about the procedure rather than the products used in that procedure. Mr Bungle 17:17, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- I keept myself a bit doubtful-- GoLtely, etc, has enough electrolytes added to it to make it isotonic, and this is also important. --Samuel CurtisShinichian-Hirokian-- TALK·CONTRIBS 01:38, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
