chin cough

edit

and chink cough should be mentioned here as historical terms for the illness. {{citation |last= |first= |contribution=chincough, ''n.'' |contribution-url=https://www.oed.com/view/Entry/31760 |date=2022 |title=Oxford English Dictionary |ref={{harvp|''OED''|2022}} |url=http://www.oed.com |location=Oxford |publisher=Oxford University Press }}. — LlywelynII 16:26, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Outbreaks in Epidemiology section

edit

The section has accumulated a random list of outbreaks. This should be replaced with a paragraph on global prevalence and trends, currently missing.

Curious initial edit summary

edit

This article was created in January 2003 with the edit summary "replacement for former stub". There's information about the "former stub" this article replaced in the January 2003 deletion log, in which an entry indicates that an article called "Pertussis" was created and then deleted because it only contained the text "Also known as Whooping Cough.
