Historicallly? and we?
editThis articel states in following sentence: Historically, we know that one speaker could not travel to see all of these nations in one lifetime. What Historically facts is this based on? Shouldn't this be backed up by other travel descriptions from the same time period desputing the possibility what is described as impossible in the poem? Secondly who is we ? Eormanric an Ostrogoth?
editDon't the first historical references to Austrogoti, in the Historia Augusta and Claudian, date to the end of the 4th century, after the death of Ermaneric? Long poem or short?
