Suppressing his past?
editWieland and his brother Wolfgang became festival directors in place of their mother, whose association with Adolf Hitler had made her unacceptable. (Wieland's own past was, however, suppressed.)
- What was it that needed suppressing? The article suggests that he was quite a reluctant supporter of the regime. Valetude (talk) 17:39, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
