This article need an update, I use wightcable, and have a 4 Mb/s broadband.

Two Companies ?

Just out of interest how can one company be two companies at the same time? i only ask because it looks as though Smallworld is connected to wightcable but there isnt any mention of Smallworld apart from in the links section, should this not be mentioned in the main body of text in a lot more detail than it is now. --AJFurnell 15:19, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

You cannot use WP to complain about a company. It the same all over the UK - you only get the service you pay for. If you want fast speeds, it will cost you. I get as fast as I want, but I pay £23 pm for it.  Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 21:12, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

truth or deception?

I not sure what wikipedia stands for here but as a 10 year.I will happy inform the public that 2mb speeds in peak hours isnt fast and isnt the fastest provider in cowes and newport. Its all misleading infomation.

Business lines and residential are the same thing with wightcable.

And btw, This is the isle of wight we only have 4 providers. Two of them being bt (02), others wightcable and talk talk. So no you dont get what you pay for over here. Bt dont care much so that leavs talk talk.

quality of service

just to inform the public with some key infomation...

If you have ever used adsl and been on hight levels of interleaving, times that by 4 and thats Wightcable but a download speed of 1.5-3mb and dont forgoet the timeing out so streaming dont work. you can forget about bbci, without being able to pause to let it download then play its pritty much a waste of time.

Dont bother to read the FUP your be capped instantly no matter what.

WightFibre?
