Wikipedia...

edit

Wikipedia is nice but anyone can edit it and put unreliable stuff on there. So how do you know of what your reading is true. 2600:1005:A009:E1A9:407E:E303:66AA:D7E3 (talk) 01:27, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

dmy dates

edit

Hello,

Considering this is a page about a website that has a rule dedicated to using dmy dates, I figured the article itself should follow this rule. "Founded by Wales and Sanger on 15 January 2001", perhaps?

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 13 May 2024

edit

in the section "Mobile access"

"The Android app for Wikipedia was released on July 23, 2014"

The date is wrong. It was actually released on January 13, 2012, according to both Google Play and the Wikimedia article used in this section as a source. The article is from 2012, and says the app was released 2 weeks before; it would make no sense for the actual release date to be 2014. 2601:246:5C80:65F0:61F:C171:740E:46B (talk) 00:40, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Page Image

edit

The image at the top of the page appears (on my iPhone) horribly out of focus. Weird, because if I click on the image (which is the Wikipedia logo), I am presently with a beautifully crisp variant.

Not sure why this might be happening. Ian Yorston (talk) 08:45, 3 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Change "currently" with template

edit

Since the number below is created using {{NUMBEROF|active|Wikipedia}} I suggest changing the word "currently" with one of the {{CURRENTTIMESTAMP}} templates so that is clear to the reader when this data was originated

There are currently 339 language editions of Wikipedia (also called language versions, or simply Wikipedias)

— (the highlight is mine)

If not, it should have the template of {{When|date=November 2024}} to help the reader question the accuracy of this statement Silva Selva (talk) 15:45, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Note: I don't consider this proposed change as an improvement, nor do I see the need to tag "currently". M.Bitton (talk) 16:50, 5 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
