Multiple sources have listed this series as a co-production between CBC and the CW. In cases on co-production BOTH networks are listed. I'm not sure why information regarding the second network keeps being removed from the page. Can we have a discussion here, rather than an edit war please? The source Racheal provided seems pretty cut-and-dried.[1] However, aside from CW's involvement, it's entirely Canadian. Although I see Xeditboy's point, I tend to lean to listing CW as a network since it is noted that it is a "fully CW original series". ButlerBlog (talk) 14:57, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thankyou for finally settling that the CW is indeed a second network, involved in every aspect of production and not just a broadcaster. I have read the infobox documentation, I just don't see that it says only ONE network. It says "The original network(s) on which the show first appeared in the country of origin." If you go to country it just says the country of origin. The only thing that clears up how the "country of origin" is determined, is found under "company." Where it states: The names of the production company or companies that funded or organized series production. Note: sub-contractors hired to perform production work, e.g. animation houses, special effects studios, post-production facilities etc. should not be included here, as this may create confusion about the nation(s) of origin. To me that means that who funds the shows production, determines the country of origin, if a series is being co-produced by two major networks (like this source says [2]) then that means that the nation of origin is BOTH Canada and USA. The precedent across WikipediaTelevision, is also that more than one network can be listed when the series is a co-production. You only have to look at the Co-production section of most networks pages. Here's a by no means exhaustive list of examples where more than one network is listed, compiled by doing exactly that (please do not consider this an invitation to touch these pages): Sullivan's Crossing (TV series), I Woke Up a Vampire, Wolf Like Me (TV series), The Tourist (TV series), Calls (TV series), The Girl Before, Theodosia (TV series), Spellbound (TV series), The Gold (TV series), Madagascar: A Little Wild, The Mighty Ones, Trolls: TrollsTopia, Epstein's Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, The Croods: Family Tree, DreamWorks Dragons: The Nine Realms, The Undeclared War, Abominable and the Invisible City, The Tattooist of Auschwitz (TV series), The Woman in the Wall, Neighbours. @Xeditboy: Everything we discuss here applies to Sight Unseen (TV series) as well, as the same article we cited earlier cites the CW as a network for both shows. If you have some sort of evidence to back up your position please quote it here. You can't just keep saying read the documentation and thinking that we know what you're talking about. We're not mind readers. Explain your position, we're trying to understand where you're coming from but you seem completely unwilling to engage in any discussion. Wikipedia is collaborative. Can anything be done to revert other CW shows that editboy seems to have a vengenous to remove their co-production of shows they have done with Canadian networks. Namely Son of a Critch and Sullivan's_Crossing_(TV_series).
Here are some proof of the co-productions, but this person continues to change them all anything The CW does with a Canadian show he removes it. We must be accurate here.
Can anything be done to revert other CW shows that editboy seems to have a vengenous to remove their co-production of shows they have done with Canadian networks. - That question and discussion needs to take place on those articles' talk pages - not here.
