- It's marked as fair use, probably a good thing. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 06:35, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
The cast listing e.g. IMDB is stunted. Ex. Actress playing prominent character of Woiwode's incestuous sister isn't named. Morloq (talk) 04:24, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Invalid ref tag
editI can't for the life of me work out why the ref tag is invalid. It looks fine to me! See ref [3]. Anyone have any ideas? - Tbsdy lives (talk) 06:34, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like a bug in cite.php. Have logged Bug 15495 about the problem. Have implemented the workaround in the article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 06:52, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Cast: Maisy Woiwode
editThere is no information available on who played the character of Maisy Woiwode, as whomever it is seems to be uncredited. However, upon examination of the episode and in keeping with the shows theme of cameos, the person playing the character does appear to bear a resemblance to Kathryn Bigelow. Note especially that the character is very tall - and according to IMDB, Katheryn Bigelow is 5 ft 11 1/2 in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.193.241 (talk) 04:49, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- This has been debated at IMDB discussion board already. Until clear proof or a statement by one of the people involved shows up, this remains mere speculation. Robert Kerber (talk) 19:05, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
This has been confirmed - the role of Maisy Woiwode has been officially attributed to Kathryn Bigelow on IMDB as uncredited.[1] [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.166.105 (talk) 21:23, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Mackintosh?
editIs the production design really influenced by Charles Rennie Mackintosh? After looking at some of his art, he seems to belong more to the art noveau movement, whereas beside the Edwardian collars and jackets, the production design of Wild Palms to me appears much more influenced by the pointy angles and loud colors of neo-expressionism that was the prevalent visual pop culture of the 80s, and throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s was highly popular for depicting the near (and distant) future, for instance see the particular production designs for Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and Quantum Leap (the few episodes where we're actually seeing the near future of the series, albeit Stockwell's outrageous neo-expressionist suits appeared in almost every episode). (Interestingly enough, DER SPIEGEL last year referred to exactly this 1980s expressionist revival as "post-modern" art, how it was "totally unheard of and radically new" in the 80s, and celebrated Annie Lennox as the alleged inventor of this "postmodernism", claiming she had invented this new art movement with the design for her band Eurythmics.)
But anyways, my point is, I see very little art noveau in Wild Palms, and thus very little of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, if at all. --87.151.25.3 (talk) 08:19, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Edited for (awful) punctuation & grammar.
editCorrected a few run-on sentences, removed a heap of unrequired commas and tidied up the synopsis' sentence stucture. I am unconvinced by its accuracy, though - It's been a while but it differs somewhat from my memory.
I'm going to watch it again then possibly return to edit the synopsis too.
Harumph. I've just seen the rest of the page has been comma'd to death as well (seriously, wtf?). Ok, will make a start on editing the rest of the page shortly.
