Not sure if the comment about being afraid of aliens is really noteworthy here. Maybe it's just me. Thegov2k2 (talk) 02:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Years with the Rangers

edit

Why does this article not mention Will Clark's years with the Rangers. He played with the Texas Rangers from 1994-1998. I don't know any details about those seasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bosoxrock88 (talkcontribs) 15:40, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

corrections of section on first game of 1989 playoffs

edit

The previous text reported that Clark's trick of reading Greg Maddux's lips in the first game of the 1989 championship series produced a solo home run and happened on the first pitch of the at-bat. This has to be wrong, as the solo home run early in the game came on a 3-2 pitch, and Clark's only first-pitch home run was the grand slam in the later innings. (See for instance "Clark Puts it Out of Sight," LA Times, October 5t, 1989.) I'm assuming therefore that the lip-reading trick, which only really makes sense if it happened before the first pitch of an at-bat, applied to the grand slam not the earlier solo shot. I don't have an independent source for this, but it also jibes with my memory that the grand slam was hit on a high inside pitch, as in the original text. Cccampedel (talk) 04:31, 2 November 2010 (UTC)== Picture with Angels ==Reply

Does anyone else see the problem with having a picture of Will Clark with the Angels in 1997 when no mention of playing for the Angels is ever made? In fact, it says that he played for the Texas Rangers for the entire range of years the includes 1997. What gives? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.107.165 (talk) 00:14, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Take a closer look - that's a Rangers jersey Will's wearing in the photo. Cccampedel (talk) 04:31, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Will Clark & Rafael Palmeiro

edit

I seem to remember hearing something about Clark and Rafael Palmeiro disliking each other, but something like this needs to be sourced, if not removed altogether. And I've also removed the reference to Palmeiro's steroid use, as it's irrelevant to Clark. Ellipsis22 (talk) 17:17, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
