I'm not sure if this person is eligible for a Wikipedia page. WP:NPOL states that local officials and being candidates for a political office aren't guaranteed to be notable, and Jawando is currently both. Therefore, I've reverted this page back to being a redirect. If this person is notable, I've written a page for them in my sandbox that fixes the issues with the page that was previously written for this person. Y2hyaXM (talk) 14:29, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
This might not be the right place for this question/comment. The grammar and tense on this section does not seem to be correct, suggesting the Democratic Primary has already concluded. Additionally, while I would personally agree that candidacy is a long-shot, this sentence should probably be re-worked:
"During the Democratic primary, he sought to position himself as a progressive, citing his record on the Montgomery County Council, but was viewed as a long-shot candidate behind frontrunners Angela Alsobrooks and David Trone." 2601:152:980:FF0:FC12:532C:8A3A:2862 (talk) 18:44, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Is councilor really the right word to describe his office? FWIW it's not one I've heard before. It turns up in Google searches much less often than council member or councilmember, the two of which are in the headlines of four of this article's cited sources as opposed to zero for councilor. Council member is also used on the county's website as listed in the external links. -- Pemilligan (talk) 01:07, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

My apologies, I was trying to correct a few pieces of information (DOB, marriage, etc.) and add in some additional info and it looks like the header for the 2024 Senate subsection got messed up. I tried to fix but it didn't work. Is someone else able to fix? Maryland 10000 (talk) 12:44, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also - he was the Associate Director of the Office of Public Affairs in the Obama White House. Can that please be added under his headshot and dates for his time on the Council?
