editI'm not in a library now, so can't check the Washington Post article, nor hard copy of Virginia legislative sources. However, the Virginia Elections database, normally fairly reliable, puts the multi-term U.S. Congressman as this Wampler's son. That seems unreliable since the younger Wampler was born in 1959.
