William H. Daniels or William Daniels (cinematographer)

edit

Although a number of reference sources (including IMDb), have listed the subject of this article as "William H. Daniels" and he was credited as "William H." on a number of films, including one (1963's How the West Was Won) for which he received an Academy Award nomination, his most frequent on-screen billing was, in fact, "William Daniels". His credits as "William" appearing in The American Film Institute Catalog of Motion Pictures greatly exceed those in which is billed as "William H." Furthermore, his listing in the Academy Award database is "William", rather than "William H." The Oscar win was for 1948's The Naked City, in which he is credited as "William". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 19:15, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
