I was looking something else up and by chance found this which gives some detailed excerpts from Downie's journals of the exploration of Bute Inlet. The rambling article covers a lot of ground and raises more questions than it answers, but passages from various original sources are in it and bits of it can be used to expand this article, for anyone interested.Skookum1 (talk) 16:45, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
