I've been uncomfortable with saying that the year of death was 2020, ever since I first read about it in that paper. The authors sort-of imply that he might have died prior to that. I wonder if we should qualify that in some way? Admittedly, it's not clear how to do that, but maybe a footnote would be the way. --Tryptofish (talk) 17:21, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
(ec)You're right, that completely escaped me. The issue was published in 2020, but given how long it sometimes takes to put these things together, Bill may have passed away in 2019 or even 2018. Too bad we can't find an obit anywhere... I can't even find exactly where he lastly worked and in what position... --Randykitty (talk) 18:09, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
