This is not referred to William's reminiscences and indeed the events recorded there leave no time for it to have happened. It appears to be a confusion with the wife of Richard Field Porter returning to Britain permanently from Tasmania. She was accompanied by her son William Lincoln Field Porter - born at Port Lincoln - who was later reclaimed by Richard in Britain and who returned to NZ with him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glaw99 (talk • contribs) 01:17, 16 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
