Dates
editAccording to Sir Paul Harvey (editor - Revised by Dorothy Eagle). (1967). "The Oxford Companion to English Literature" (Fourth Edition). Oxford at the Clarendon Press, 'Far Away and Long Ago' was published in 1918 and not 1931;and 'A Crystal Age' was published in 1906 and not 1887. I am not sure which is correct. - Derekvanlessen 11:11, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Pictures
editI just now added what I think is a somewhat clearer picture. Are other public domain photos of Hudson available? - Astrochemist (talk) 03:00, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Bad source
editThe Michael Mason article cited in the previous revision, which I have reverted, http://www.lrb.co.uk.ezproxy2.londonlibrary.co.uk/v05/n11/michael-mason/o-cruel, does not support the proposition that Far Away and Long Ago is W.H. Hudson's best known work. On the contrary, this article explicitly claims that Hudson's best known work is Green Mansions.
Perhaps in Spanish, and certainly in Argentina, Allá lejos y hace tiempo is Hudson's best known work, but this is English Wikipedia. Ttocserp 17:51, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
