Holt's birth date is given in different places as 1730 and 1737. Given his later history, the earlier date seems more likely. He appears on the subscription list for the first edition of Jonathan Edwards Freedom of the Will, so unless he bought 14 books of theology at age 16 (probably for his store) the 1730 date is preferred - despite the date given in the Colonial Williamsburg museum web site.
I also deleted the reference to his "daughter" Jane Holt marrying the famous Rev. Davies in 1748 - I don't know who this Jane Holt was (possibly an aunt?) but it wasn't his daughter, clearly, given either of the dates.Harrycroswell (talk) 09:39, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
