Further biographical detail: corroboration and citation needed
editAs a former friend and colleague of Dr Reddin between 1987 and 1993, I would like to offer two pieces of information in relation to: a) His early life; and b) his consultancy history which together may provide significant and important information in relation to his biography.
a) I have a recollection that Dr Reddin told me that his real father was Sydney Howard, the Leeds-born Music Hall entertainer, theatre and film actor.
b) Dr Reddin informed me that in the 1970's he himself had acted as a consultant to the Argentinian military either immediately before, or during the Dirty War. Although I cannot remember the exact chronology, I do recall that Dr Reddin told me that the Junta was staffed predominantly by military leaders who had taken part in the 3D Managerial Effectiveness Seminar (or the contemporary equivalent).
If either can be corroborated, I suspect that while the former is possibly little more than "nice to know", the latter provides a "need to know" example of the full range of organisations that Dr Reddin worked with; to suppress this may mean that the article merely presents a sanitised and less-than-impartial account of the full, nuanced range of Dr Reddin's professional engagements. It may also mean that the article could read less as biography and, arguably, more like publicity for the company which still carries his name.
Reddin’s academic career
editThe article states that he joined UNB in 1965. I believe this is the year he was promoted to Full Professor. He was already established at UNB when I met him in 1959. I helped him move into the house and refinished that large wooden table in the study. 76.65.35.225 (talk) 16:42, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
