The result of the move request was: Moved. Consensus that the move should go ahead, and that he is primary topic even if the oceanographer article is created. — Amakuru (talk) 08:54, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
William Li (businessman) → William Li – unnecessary dab; target is creation-protected so I can't move it myself. Zanhe (talk) 20:27, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 21:45, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- There is also Draft:William Li that is awaiting review. If that draft gets accepted, then it would probably be moved to William Li (oceanographer) and we would then need to ask for an admin to create a disambiguation page at William Li. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 21:45, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support - even if Draft:William Li does get approved (it looks a bit iffy, as I can't find much third-party coverage about the oceanographer), the billionaire entrepreneur would still qualify as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Often called the "Elon Musk of China", he is far better known than the obscure academic. -Zanhe (talk) 01:33, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- Support per Zanhe. Although the draft looks fine to me, should it be accepted I think we could still reasonably regard the buisnessman as "primary" in what would then be a WP:TWODABS situation, and in the meantime of course there is no other use of the title. Worth noting, though, that the top Google hits seem to be for another William Li entirely. PC78 (talk) 21:54, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
- Note: Only an administration can move this page. Xain36 {talk} 02:42, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
