editI have a disagreement with the year of birth listed in the article. His grave marker has his birth date as Jan. 19th 1843 not January 19, 1844. Where did the information come from that was posted? Is the marker wrong, or the article? (Jan 3, 2010) Nanciq —Preceding undated comment added 17:16, 3 January 2010 (UTC).
- He was born in 1843. As reported in all his major newspaper obituaries, after Mulock's death his grandson William Pate Mulock stated that the family bible listed Sir William's birth as January 19, 1843, saying "somewhere in his life he dropped a year, and we didn't want to worry him, so we never mentioned the fact." The year, 1843, is correctly listed in all references written before around 1914. Unfortunately Mulock's only biography (Loudon) was written before Mulock's death and hence lists 1844 as his birth date. David C Bailey (talk) 14:44, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

editWhen was he knighted? -- Zoe
I believe it was in 1937, when Mulock left his post as Chief Justice. And thanks to the person who inserted the picture!--Longevitymonger
I think that he would have been knighted long before 1937, as the Nickle Resolution, which was adopted in 1919 bans Canada's monarchs from conferring titles, including knighthoods & damehoods. - (Aidan Work 01:01, 21 November 2005 (UTC))
According to the historical plaque, he was knighted in 1902. Nanciq —Preceding undated comment added 17:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC).
- The historical plaque is correct; he was knighted in 1902, as reported in Loudon and many other sources. David C Bailey (talk) 14:44, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
