What is the source for "They had seven surviving sons and three daughters"? Was George Petre a son of William Petre, 2nd Baron Petre? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.181.124.89 (talk) 08:10, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- George Petre of Montrose, Scotland is not related in any way to the Barons Petre of Essex, England. The erroneous claim was made in some histories, Fischer's The Scots in Sweden for example, but have been disproven by both Swedish genealogists and statesments from the current Baron Petre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.152.107.246 (talk) 16:57, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
