254 Squadron
edit@Nedrutland:I'm tempted to remove the statement about 254 squadron. This unit doesn't appear to have existed in the RFC or the RAF in this period. I suspect a typo on the RAF museum website. Do you have any strong feelings? It ought to be a fairly reliable source, though so could see an argument for leaving it for further research.Heliotom (talk) 07:28, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Scratch that, found No. 254- http://www.nationalcoldwarexhibition.org/research/squadrons/254/ Heliotom (talk) 07:32, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
Final mission
editThe article says that the observer brought the plane back and made a forced landing after Clarke fell unconscious, whereas Clarke in his letter says he flew the plane back but was too weak to land it. So far as I'm aware the observer had no controls in his position so the latter must be correct.
