I was unaware there was an actual "District of Albert" within NWT, before the province was created. Also, thank you for using "aldermanic" in this article.

Early life

  • "initially named justice of the peace" sounds odd. Is your wording to affirm this was his first venture into public life?

Personal life

  • There's somewhat uneven wikilinking in this section why are some sports linked, but not others? Why is Knights of Pythias linked, but not Sons of Scotland?

Death and legacy

  • How far after Edmiston's death was the modern industrial park named/created? It looks like it's pretty new. Are there any contemporary articles about how the name was chosen? Was it the City, the developer, the board of trade? Not crucial, but it's amazing that they'd pull something from so long ago.

Really, that's it. I made a three changes here and there in the article already, nothing earth-shattering. -- Zanimum (talk) 21:39, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Done the first points. "District of Albert" seems to have been a typo on my part, but I can't seem to find it. As for the sports section, the other clubs do not seem to have articles (and are unlikely to be notable for them), but I did add an additional link to the part listing the sports he played. As for the industrial park, unfortunately there seems to be no articles on the naming - I believe these are taken care of by a naming committee that keeps a list of Edmonton personalities to name things after - a number of other mayors also seem to have their names attached (seemingly arbitrarily) to industrial parks. I think it was sometime in the 1970s that it was named, but I'm not too sure. CMAH (Connormah's Sock) 22:11, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Zanimum: Added date of the naming of the park! Connormah (talk) 23:06, 26 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
As to District of Albert, that's my typo. I was meaning District of Alberta, in the infobox. The comment was meant as praise for not just linking to the main Alberta article, or skipping that governance level entirely (as in "Edmonton, NWT, Canada"). Yes, the clubs are fine unwikilinked, I was meaning things like rifleman's club, which you fixed.
Cool on all counts, pass! -- Zanimum (talk) 16:26, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
