This history is incomplete. I have a photo of the North Woolwich works in 1973 when it was clearly in the ownership of STC (Standard Telephones and Cables). I'm not sure how GEC fits in but I'm pretty sure AEI's cable manufacturing operations had been taken over by STC before North Woolwich shut down; STC also had a cable works at Enderby's Wharf, East Greenwich. There was also a Henley's works in Gravesend which I believe is still there and is presumably now TT Electronics. Pterre20:20, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
