Marriage
editIt was Hugh, Longlegs' son, who married Marjory de Abernethy. Longlegs married Constance Battail of Fawdon, as is mentioned. Whether he also married Martha Bruce of Carrick remains an open question, as is the mother of his children. Shipsview (talk) 20:21, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sir William Fraser, in his Book of Douglas (page 34), seems rather less certain that Longlegs married Constance, describing it as a 'possibility'. He further suggests that if he were, then it might be as a second wife.Shipsview (talk) 12:14, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
