Contesting fact
editI am contesting the fact that JPM "made the fastest lap of any circuit in history when he set pole position at Monza with a lap on average of nearly 161mph."
I would argue that Bill Elliott's record of 212 mph at Talladega Superspeedway in a NASCAR stock car is faster.
Rewording needed? Should "circuit" be instead "road course" (which would be satisfactory)? Talladega is a racing circuit, albeit an oval. Guroadrunner (talk) 20:44, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- A rewording is needed. As for GP racing, during practice for the 1937 Avusrennen, Rosemeyer did a lap averaging 176.7 mph (284.31km/h). I don't know if the old AVUS counts as a road course though. KaptenKrater (talk) 17:36, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
POV
editI marked this article as having neutrality issues because of the unsourced statements saying that one car is "superior" to the other, or that the engine is unreliable. Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 15:46, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
