Reason's for article needing attention

edit

This article has a number of problems. This includes irrelevant details, such as the anecdote concerning his family owning an island. It also reads somewhat like a press-release: "The cocoa bars are available from retail outlets Selfridges and Waitrose and direct via his website, as well as being supplied to Marco Pierre White's White Star Line restaurants."

I question whether this article meets Wikipedia's Notability guidelines. There are plenty of citations however, so this is a matter for discussion.

Should this article even be kept?

There maybe room for some editing of the material, but I don't see why the article should be deleted. After all, he has interest value in a fairly unique field. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.3.254.150 (talk) 16:49, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I guess this thread is so old that no one is going to work on this, but just the grammar and syntax of this piece are really problematic. I am a copyeditor, but I don't have time to copyedit this. Someone really should, though. It really needs help on this level, in addition to the things others have said. 74.80.61.164 (talk) 10:52, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I agree, it's poorly written and feels like a missed opportunity because from what I taste the chocolate is still really good and he seemed like he was cutting out a lot of the middle men from the buying process - although that needs more research.
Anyway, easily notable, not sure what that was about, more just poorly written.
I also don't have time, but weirdly we both had time to leave notes here and pass the buck :-D
What a weird place Wikipedia often is.
Maybe I've talked myself into it. ITellComputerYes (talk) 18:35, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Swimming Cattle?

edit

"...the family settled in Ireland where they bought a 180 acre island. Rather than live on it, they farmed sheep and cattle on it, which would swim across the sea to reach the mainland"

Chocolate

edit

Under "Chocolate", a sentence is ungrammatical. ITellComputerYes seems to be responsible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.139.132.245 (talk) 16:33, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Apologies if that's right. Hope you changed it! :) ITellComputerYes (talk) 18:28, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
