Windermere was established in 1889, and works hard to retain a small town feel.

Could this be rephrased in a encyclopedic fashion? --Dpr 16:17, 18 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Tiger Woods still lives here, for the moment

edit

I changed the note that said Windermere was once the hometown of Tiger Woods, and said this has been his residence since 1997. Tiger Woods has expressed his intention to move his family from Windermere to Jupiter Island, FL, where he bought a 10 acre oceanfront estate. As of this writing, though, he has not made the move yet. According to the Wikipedia article on Tiger Woods, Windermere is still his residence. And when Tiger and his wife had their first baby in June, 2007, they had it at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando.John ISEM (talk) 18:05, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reference

I have never heard of the Windermere Roadies and there is no corresponding Wikipedia article about them. If they are a famous cycling team then I would expect there to be more references than just a link to their website. This seems like SPAM to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yojayy (talkcontribs) 03:01, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speed Trap

edit

Pity we can't mention Windermere is Orange County's speed trap capital.

The (former) Chief of the Windermere PD pleaded (plead?) no contest to covering up the investigation of a sex crime against a 12 year old. Almost a dozen guns are missing from the evidence room, a diamond bracelet is also missing. Someone has been using the state police database for fun. The mayor was knocked out by a citizen at a town council meeting. All in all a fun place. How may we include this stuff? A page on the WPD perhaps? Versailles house

edit

I'm wondering if anyone who edits this article lives in Windermere near the house. If so, could you drop by and take a quick photo for the article. Many thanks if you can. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:57, 25 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Laughable. Wikipedia has definitely a monopoly on stupidity. 2013... a census year! LOFL — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CE98:1510:4CEF:D74C:D98C:4A0E (talk) 16:44, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
