Some expansion ideas

edit

I wanted to make sure that a new user got a DYK credit for this article which was just cutting the 5 day deadline so I only gave this article the briefest attention while expanding. Obviously there is still a lot of room for future expansion-namely the other types of wine rating systems (Robinson, Broadbent's, etc) and the non-American view point. I only briefly touched on its influential use in the Asian and South American markets but judging by some of the reliable sources on the topic, that could easily merit its own section. Didn't find too many sources commenting on the European view (outside of "Parkerization criticism" of course :P). I'm sure it could also use some WP:NPOV balancing as well so that the criticism section doesn't have WP:UNDUE weight. AgneCheese/Wine 00:56, 18 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

History of rating system and the 100 point scale

edit

After seeing some dispute in the edit history, I did some research to see if I could find any evidence that Parker was not first with a 100 point scale (for his definition of his 100 point scale he of course is first), I was pretty sure it even says he was not first in one of his books. I found this that might be used as reference and good for further improvement of this article (not sure if it is RS though). I'm very busy IRL now and do not have time to do any serious updates, sigh. --Stefan talk 02:02, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
