The only problem with this article is that it is only the history of Wingate FC. There is another story to be told, and it is of equal interest. But yes they are the same club. Indeed, the history of Finchley FC is well worth telling especially as for the first 20 years of the post-war period they were one of the top amateur clubs in the country.
Great article. Does need POV removing in parts and wikilinks do not point to the right people. Also needs to be less 'current event' and more about the history and ethos of the club, which are the interesting parts. Needs work but so far v. good.Badgerpatrol 01:58, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
The History for Wingate F.C. is taken straight from the club's website, so I've tagged it as a copyright violation. Dancarney 16:33, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Jewish?
editPlease explain the context of the categories about Judaism and how that is linked to the club. Does the club only contract Jewish players? Was it founded by a Jewish person? What are the criteria that make it a Jewish club? --98.122.20.56 (talk) 15:55, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
- 98.122.20.56 Some support for it here: [1]. I don´t know if it´s enough to make it a "Jewish Club" in the WP-sense, but it´s something. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:13, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
What is the name of the club's ground?
editThe article mentions both Harry Abrahams and Maurice Rebak. If it's been renamed, please clarify. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 13:18, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
