The Punchbowl
editTo the Quaternary geologist perhaps the most exciting aspect of Winsford is the possibility that southwest England's only glacier was nurtured here in this deep hollow. Marginal at best but the evidence is described as unequivocal in the authoritative reference I've given. The preceding text regarding Winsford Common's location - 'valley within a valley' is somewhat confusing though - any takers for clarifying what is meant? cheers Geopersona (talk) 05:54, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
