I had understood that the original name of the territory was Ouisconsin then the spelling was changed to Wisconsin. I realize that This source says "The act establishing Wisconsin Territory", but that book has footnotes as late as 1842, so that would be long after the change was made. It would be nice if that source noted the name change, but spelling changes were often made without note. Anyone know about this? Randall Bart Talk 22:43, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
