Persistent changes to episode numbers
editFor quite a long time, anonymous editors have periodically been changing references to the Suite Life on Deck episode from episode 21 to episode 20, despite the episode very clearly being listed on the episode list article as episode 21. A similar thing happens occasionally with the Hannah Montana episode, which they change from 19 to 20. These changes have always been made without any explanation. Experience over 10 years at multiple articles has shown there are two types of editors making these changes. The first go straight to the end of links etc to make the changes. A note at the end of the link, immediately after the link generally catches most of these. The other type seem to read from the beginning of the link and ignore the note after what they change. Placing the same note before the content that keeps being changed catches most of these editors. Quite frankly, I am sick to death of having to revert these ridiculous, unsourced, undiscussed changes so I've progressively been adding notes. A few days ago, after yet another change, I started adding notes before the changed content, explaining why.[1] However, after only 5 days and without any real time to evaluate whether the notes were working, KatnissEverdeen removed these notes.[2] --AussieLegend (✉) 13:08, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for calling my attention to this. Initially, the two notes saying the exact same thing seemed a bit repetitive and unneccessary. However, given your more detailed explanation here, it seems like both notes would be appropriate. I've gone ahead and reverted my edit removing the second note. Cheers, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 13:13, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

editChanging of the episode number for "Super(stitious) Girl" from 19 to 20 continues, despite several notes in the article specifically warning against this. Although no editor ever bothers to explain why, this appears to be because "He Could Be the One", the preceding episode which was aired as a single episode, has been split into two episodes on Disney's streaming service, resulting in the numbers for subsequent episodes all being incremented by one. --AussieLegend (✉) 06:17, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
