SLY111: Need to detail better the circumstances surrounding the founding of WHS. After another review of the Phelps Association Trust papers at Sterling Memorial Library, Yale University, in large part to reread THE FOUNDING OF WOLF'S HEAD by John Williams Andrews, and a review of the chapter on WHS in FLESHING OUT SKULL AND BONES by Kris Millegan, I'll rewrite the opening. SLY111: WHS saved the society system at Yale, therefore creating the Yale that benefits the world today. Undergraduate Yalies work, for sure, but their steps are animated, consciously or unconsciously, by the opportunity of a tap to a secret society. This legacy sustains. This training is remarkable for the world beyond New Haven, as others (non-Yalies) would attest, and as Yalies would agree. But more importantly, the world beyond Yale has benefitted mightily from the society system. Yalies are prepared to do well the work of the world....3 Nov 06
