I think this says it best:Wombeyan Caves are about a 4 hour drive from Sydney, the last hour in on a dirt road. There is a good camping area or you can hire a cabin or sleep in the big bunk house. There are lots of show caves to see and heaps of wild caves to explore. These caves have not been dived that much so there is still a lots to discover.
