The result of the proposal was moved to Women senators. This seems to address all the issues discussed here. --BDD (talk) 17:19, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
Female Senators → Women in the Senate – Disambiguation page, but nothing on the page is called "Female Senators" – 58.176.246.42 (talk) 23:23, 27 August 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. Natg 19 (talk) 00:51, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 23:49, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- Comment: This request poses difficulties. Women in the Senate is now a redirect to Women in the United States Senate, while Female Senators is attempting to cover several countries. The underlying topic appears to be 'women members of legislative bodies called senates', which might not be the best choice of a group. The simplest fix to the present title might be a change to Female senators, which at least gets the capitalization right. EdJohnston (talk) 23:49, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- Comment: I think Women senators is the most appropriate title for the disambiguation page. The Women in the Senate redirect that EdJohnston mentions is problematic itself, because it assumes someone was looking for the US senate, but does not have any hatnotes or other links that can take a reader to a page for another country. So my suggestion is that both Female Senators and Women in the Senate be redirected to Women senators.
- As an alternative, I'll note that Women in government is an article that addresses the topic. It has a section on case studies of a few countries including the US. Ideally, that article should contain links for all countries. But at the moment this disambiguation page seems necessary. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 02:57, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
