"The first sales tax ever in the state of Oregon"?
editThe last bullet point under the Tax controversy section says this:
- If created, it would be the first sales tax ever in the state of Oregon, which has considered a constitutional amendment to prohibit sales tax.
Ashland has a sales tax that was established in 1990. Here's the information about it. It seems quite obvious to me that Oregon has already had its first sales tax (Ashland's may not have even been its first), but perhaps I'm missing something. Thoughts?
