Sources, mirrors etc

The text of that original article is still largely intact, and appears word-for-word at several other websites that are not complying mirrors of Wikipedia. That looks at first sight like a copyvio either on our part or on theirs, but it may even be that the text is original and has been validly submitted to several sites including us.

I don't remember making the article but I just put quotation marks around it and searched and could not find a match. There should probably have been a citation to a news article. RichardBond (talk) 22:15, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

The oil is extracted and then added to unmodified diesel engines. Either new plants are used or planted to replace the old plants. The charcoal byproduct is put back into the soil as a fertilizer. According to the director Tom Adams since carbon is put back into the soil, this biofuel can actually be carbon negative not just carbon neutral. Carbon negative decreases carbon dioxide in the air reversing the greenhouse effect not just reducing it.

There are also some compliant mirrors of course... I don't know what you were searching for. I searched for "Wood diesel" "University of Georgia" and got lots of hits including many with great gobs of "our" text and some (like the one quoted above and the compliant mirrors) with virtually the whole stub.

But that at least confirms that you didn't submit your original text to other sites (which you are quite entitled to do of course). One possibility eliminated. Progress! Andrewa (talk) 00:47, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
