Is anyone able to correct the coordinates associated with this article? I clicked on the coordinates to view on Google Maps, but I noticed it directs users a couple blocks too far south. The center is actually north of Woodstock on 43rd. @EncMstr: you may be interested. Thanks in advance! ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:47, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- Applying the address 5905 Southeast 43rd Avenue to ACME for geolocation and using streetview to readily confirm, then centering on the building (as seen from the air) gives 45°28′47″N 122°37′08″W / 45.47979°N 122.61882°W / 45.47979; -122.61882 which is very close to the article's coordinate. According to recommendations, an object this size should not have that precise of a location. I checked that there was no recent article change. All seems well. Which mapping service are you using and where does it point you? —EncMstr (talk) 01:48, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- I accessed this URL, then clicked on "Maps" under Google Maps. Actually, the way I first notice the 'error' was from using the "nearby" feature on the Wikipedia app (on my phone). Just zooming into the area, I noticed Woodstock Community Center was tagged as being south of Woodstock. ---Another Believer (Talk) 02:04, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- Google Maps suffers greatly from its UI changes of the last year. I found that if I wait for more than a minute after it first loads, eventually the correct location is displayed after zooming 3 or 4 steps. I didn't click on "nearby" anything: just Google maps. I did it on a laptop running Linux Fedora and Firefox. —EncMstr (talk) 09:37, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
@Jonesey95: The coordinates for this article are still wrong. The community center is north of Woodstock. Might you be able to see if you can update the coordinates? ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:01, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- Updated from Google Maps. I checked the new coordinates on ACME mapper and OpenStreetMap, and they all land a pin on the house now. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:44, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Jonesey95: Yes, I can confirm the accuracy of the pin. Thank you so much for updating the coordinates. I will mark this section as (finally!) resolved. ---Another Believer (Talk) 13:32, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
