where's the pizza

Technically, the pizza places and most of the great Italian food mentioned in the article is over on Wooster Street which is not part of Wooster Square, at least most of us in New Haven don't think so.

Will in New Haven

There is the park called Wooster Square, as well as the neighborhood called Wooster Square. The entirety of Wooster Street in in the neighborhood. --Polaron | Talk 23:50, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Is there a way to direct a search for "Wooster Street" to this page. I was looking for some quick info on "Wooster Street", but wiki doesn't know to re-direct to this artcile. I'm not saying to change the name of the article, as I completely understand the reasoning. I just think that many people would go about searching for "Wooster Street" rather than "Wooster Square".

Separate NRHP HD article or not

A bunch of editors have been debating elsewhere when and where it is helpful to have separate articles on NRHP HDs, like about "Wooster Square Historic District", vs. when it is best to include the NRHP info in an article about a village/hamlet/neighborhood like the "Wooster Square" article.

Some of the editors (me included) agree that for Wooster Square and Wooster Square HD we currently want a merged article. But if there is someone who wants to make a decent separate article, that would be okay too. We just ask, please don't split out a separate NRHP HD article unless a) you have created or are actively developing a DYK-equivalent length starter article using substantial information, and b) you judge in good faith that it is beneficial to have the NRHP HD be a separate article.

Note, for all CT NRHPs, a good source is available, the NRHP nomination document, provided free of charge upon email request to nr_reference (at) nps.gov. And, in December 2010, the National Register has just made available online copies of almost all of the NRHP documents for CT: see search screen here. I added a reference link to the Wooster Square Historic District's NRHP nom doc to this article, already.

I took the initiative to split the article. The large majority of info on this page is beyond the scope of the historic district, which is indeed a separate entity. Plus, it would be impossible to have consistent infoboxes between New Haven neighborhoods with the current NRHP infobox in place. --Iracaz (talk) 5 March, 2015

While it is true that this article has material that is not germane to the historic district, the historic district article content would almost all be germane to this one. For example, the history section here would probably be virtually duplicated in the historic district. Given that the historic district appears to encompass most of the geographic area of the neighborhood, I don't see why they ought to be separated. {{infobox nrhp}} can be embedded in other infoboxes; it does not need to lead.
