Railroad?
editBritain did not build "railroads", not only bringing the motive powered tracks to the world as seen in this article, Britain built RAILWAYS!!! Stop impressing your pro-American degradation of the English language onto stuff that is NOT American, there are people who live, exist and have done for millennia outside of the North American continent and it smacks of converting British innovation and invention into an American thing something Americans have done since James Watt put a flame under a boiler.
Please ensure that railroad is utilised correctly for those countries in the small portion of the planet that call it that, the whole basis of the word came about to de-British the whole thing in the US with the vast majority of human beings on this planet calling it a railway.
